A Toss Muga Mekhela Chadar is a traditional Assamese two-piece garment comprising a skirt-like Mekhela and a draped Chadar (or Sador), made from Toss Muga silk – a fabric known for its naturally yellowish-golden color, durability, and glossy finish. The Mekhela is a wide, rectangular piece of cloth folded into pleats around the waist and tucked in, while the Chador is a longer cloth draped over the body and the other shoulder.
