Decorative Blue Art Pottery Serving Plate
Code : P12425

A decorative blue art pottery plate is typically a handcrafted piece of Jaipur Blue Pottery, an Indian craft distinguished by its vibrant cobalt blue dye and intricate, hand-painted designs on a glossy, white-glazed surface. Unlike traditional pottery that uses clay, this art form is made from a special Egyptian paste consisting of quartz stone powder, glass, Fullers Earth (Multani Mitti), and natural gums. This unique composition makes the resulting plates durable, impervious, and resistant to cracks, though they can be fragile due to being fired at low temperatures. While some plates can be used for serving, most are purely decorative and feature traditional Persian-inspired floral and geometric motifs, or more modern animal and bird patterns.
