Turkey Poult
Code : P13209

A turkey poult is a baby turkey, known for being precocial (eyes open, can walk/follow mother within hours) and nidifugous (leaves nest quickly). They start as fluffy, downy chicks, growing rapidly, and begin developing flight feathers by a couple of weeks, allowing them to fly into low trees for safety, learning to eat insects and seeds by observing their mother. Distinguished by fast growth, specific brooding needs (warmth, high protein feed), disease resistance, and its potential for meat or heritage breeds, requiring specialized care like temperature control and separate housing from chicks. Primarily prized for its potential for meat production, as well as for ornamental purposes and its enjoyable personality when raised as a pet.
