The Assam Hill Goat (AHG) is a small, native Indian breed from Northeast India, known for its high meat quality, disease resistance, and exceptional prolificacy (frequent twins/triplets). They adapt well to hilly terrains, have erect ears, backward-curving horns, and varied colours (white, brown, black), with most being bearded and some having long hair, serving as crucial small-scale meat producers for local farmers.
