A Padmini Kesa Paat Mekhela Sador is a traditional Assamese garment consisting of two pieces: a Mekhela (a cylindrical skirt) and a Sador (a drape). It is known for its unique lightweight and diaphanous texture due to being woven from raw, un-degummed mulberry silk fibers. The fabrics natural, glossy transparency is a defining characteristic. Mekhela Sador is a staple in Assams cultural attire.
