A cotton Mekhela Sador is a traditional two-piece garment worn by women in Assam, India. It consists of a mekhela (the bottom piece) and a sador (the upper piece). The mekhela is a wide, cylindrical piece of cloth draped around the waist and tucked in, often with a petticoat underneath. The sador is a long piece of fabric that is draped over the shoulder and tucked into the upper part of the mekhela.
